The DoubleWallBanger head
TheWallBanger is being used in the 2007 Texas Tactical Police Officers Association competition to insert a distraction device into a window. Notice the vertical dispersion of the blast. It allows the distraction device to maintain maximum efficiency in the safest manner possible. Photo by Mike McMillan, Austin, TX, Police Dept.
TheWallBanger uses Defense Technology 7001 CI (command initiated) distraction device reloads. This allows for an immediate deployment of the device. More importantly, it allows for an immediate abortion of the device's operation. You have the ability to change your mind at the last split second. Additional extenstions to the pole can be added to increase the "stand off" distance.
With the Door Key attachment mounted on TheWallBanger, a door can be breached using the same Defense Technology 7001 CI device. The shape of the Door Key forces the energy of the distraction device into the door thus forcing the door open. For steel doors with steel frames, two (2) distraction devices can be used simultaneously.
Notice how close personnel can stack near the door during a breach using the Door Key attachment. TheWallBanger equipment closes the gab between the currently used breaching ram and the many problems associated with E.O.D. breaching.
This is what the door looked like after the Door Key attachment on TheWallBanger breached the door.
The head of the single WallBanger holds a Defense Technology Multi-Port Command Initiated distraction device. The head has tungsten-tipped teeth to break through just about any window you should encounter. It can also angle to be in the best position for any deployment. It will penetrate automobile windshield glass.
No longer will you have to "spray and pray". You can now deploy a distraction device without having to worry if it will land on a mattress or under a bed...or on somebody's lap. TheWallBanger pole keeps the distraction device off the ground and high in the air. This means maximum efficiency with maximum safety. You can decide to initiate the blast in a split second, or you can change your mind and decide to abort the deployment in a split second. Command initiated distraction devices have no delay time.
Here, an officer inserts the DoubleWallBanger into a second story window. He can initiate one (1) device and remain or move to another window and initiate a second device as the entry teams enters the residence and flows up the stairs to make an arrest of a very distracted and confused suspect that was asleep on the second floor just moments earlier
Here, an officer will bang a window. Without reloading, he can bang the same window a 2nd time or move to another window for a 2nd bang.
